Headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, The Empire specializes in interdisciplinary, creative post-production. The team works with global advertising agencies and production companies to deliver exceptional and unique content.

Since opening their doors in 2015, The Empire experienced significant growth thanks to their work with big-hitting clients like Google, Subway and Flight Centre. This post-production agency continuously delivers innovative solutions through hard work, instinct, and adaptability. The Empire is now proudly considered one of Australia’s fastest-growing post houses.

We were tasked with developing a full branding strategy and refresh package that would coincide with the company’s move to a new studio space in Fortitude Valley – home to some of Brisbane’s most forward-thinking companies.

The Empire’s branding needed to showcase its artistry and positioning alongside leading Fortitude Valley agencies.

Our Approach

We wanted to revamp The Empire’s crown logo without completely straying away from its regal imagery. The result was a redo that nods at the art deco movement with an updated and refined appeal, drawn from its smoother and more streamlined shape.

Supplementary branding materials were developed to help The Empire get noticed by future clients in a competitive industry. We strove to strike a balance between a buttoned-up corporate look and the youthful boldness this post-production company puts forth in their projects.

Dark Slate, Copper and Cream colours are used to keep the brand looking elevated. The diamond criss-cross pattern matches the overall line thickness of the wordmark and icons. An overarching geometric style is consistent throughout the brand patterns and illustrative style.
